McDonalds Germany: Enhanced O2C data exchange with e-Invoicing and migration to IBM-SAP platform, reducing cycle by 70%.

Overview

McDonald's is the world's largest chain of burger fast food restaurants, serving in around 119 countries. This particular project was aimed for McDonalds Germany along with its local trading partner Mercoline responsible for processing all O2C data exchange. McDonalds Germany Inc, headquartered in Munich, operates with approximately 1240 restaurants out of which nearly 1100 are connected via remote data transmission to head office.


Business Objective
  • To enable digital data exchange of financial documents like Purchase Order, Invoice, Credit Memo through B2B gateways.
  • e-Invoicing to reduce Day Sales Outstanding so that realtime data exchange can happen
  • Consult the client on migrating from the legacy EDI systems to IBM unified platform powered by SAP
  • Mediate between McDonalds, Mercoline and IBM Stakeholders to execute the project within 5 months of timeline
