Lapisbard is a premium accessories brand from the house of William Penn India Pvt. Ltd., the first multi-brand retailer to offer fine writing instruments to consumers in India. William Penn has earned the distinction of becoming the single largest independent distributor of Sheaffer and Lamy Writing Instruments in the world. Lapisbard is William Penn’s inhouse luxury brand competing with Mont Blanc, Hugo Boss and Lamy.


Business Objective
  • To establish Lapisbard’s global premium men’s accessories eCommerce platform on Magento.
  • To create a seamless user experience across all devices with mobile responsive design and detailing on UX effects to justify the brand’s premium feel.
  • To create a multicountry, multicurrency store based on geoIP detection
  • To create an inbuilt CMS blogging system so that business can effectively create and distribute marketing content

Solution

The B2C eCommerce was designed and developed on Magento 2.0 platform for UK and India locale.

  • A complete from scratch bootstrap design was created for the major viewports
  • Every minute detail of the design was captured in terms of the hero banner, hover effects, slide effects, video spots, ajax effects to make sure the eCommerce has a premium feel to it.
  • Social Login and social share integration was done to make sure users can access the site through their social accounts.
  • SSL enabled Amazon pay was integrated to get national and international payments.
  • A country wise store locator was developed to find the address of brick & mortar outlets.
  • A pinterest layout blog was developed with product cross selling feature
