SAP WM Functional Consultant

Role Purpose: This role is accountable for the accurate configuration, validation, and stabilization of SAP Warehouse Management(WM) processes within S/4HANA programmers delivered in Public and Private Cloud environments. The role exists to ensure warehouse execution processes perform reliably in live operations, that inventory movements are accurately reflected in SAP, and that warehouse processes integrate correctly with procurement, sales, and finance. This role is execution-focused and operates within defined design and governance guardrails.

Scope of Responsibility

The role covers SAP WM execution activities across the full delivery lifecycle, including:

• SAP S/4HANA WM configuration and validation

• Fit-to-Standard / Fit-to-Design delivery support

• Warehouse process testing and defect resolution

• Inventory movement and valuation alignment

• Integration with MM, SD, and downstream logistics systems

• Cutover, go-live, and hyper care stabilization

Key Accountabilities

• Warehouse Solution Execution

Ensure SAP WM configuration aligns with approved designs, SAP Best Practices, and delivery standards, supporting stable inbound, outbound, picking, packing, and inventory management processes across warehouse and distribution environments.

SAP Activate & Governance

Execute responsibilities in line with SAP Activate methodology, supporting Fit-to-Standard (Public Cloud) and Fit-to-Design (Private Cloud), while operating strictly within clean-core, extensibility, and change-control guardrails.

• Quality & Testing

Validate warehouse process behavior through unit, integration, and user acceptance testing; support root-cause analysis and defect resolution; and ensure warehouse processes are stable, repeatable, and release-ready prior to go-live.

• Inventory & Integration Integrity

Validate inventory movements, stock balances, and warehouse transactions across SAP and integrated systems, supporting reconciliation between warehouse operations, procurement, sales, and finance.

• Cutover, Go-Live & Stabilisation

Support warehouse cutover execution, go-live activities, and post-go-live stabilization, including resolution of operational and inventory-related issues.

• Delivery Discipline

Provide clear delivery status and risk visibility, escalate issues appropriately, maintain delivery evidence, and contribute to knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
